The heart of the bike shop beats to the rhythms of its workshop. With six full time technicians, we run the busiest workshops in the city. Although we repair and build thousands of bikes a year, we take great pride in the quality and consistency of our work and aim to deliver the best service in the city too. For many minor repairs we can give you instant service; for more substantial work we operate a booking in system, but we can usually accomodate with 1-2 days notice. We Offer...
Free Bike Checks
We will check your bike over for free - and advise you whether it's safe to ride. We'll also pump up the tyres - no booking needed, just walk in and we'll take a look at it right away.
Speed
Instant service on minor repairs, same day service when you book in advance. Most minor repairs such as punctures or fitting a control cable can be done while you wait. If you book your cycle in for repair in advance, we guarantee that we will turn it around the same day (subject to availability of parts).
A Choice of Service Packages
For a more comprehensive service you can choose from one our packages. These offer better value because you save money by having a number of jobs done at once. All you pay is a simple flat labour fee with parts charged extra.

Free Courtesy Bikes
We have a number of courtesy bikes including Brompton folders, that we are happy to lend you whilst your own machine is in our workshop. If you need a courtesy bike, be sure to reserve one when you book your bike in for repair.
Wheelbuilding
Good cycle mechanics prides themselves on the quality of their wheelbuilding. We work with double butted stainless steel spokes as standard, and single butted stainless where extra strength is required. We can build just about anything to suit. Specialist Work
Hub Gears. We like hub gears and as a result have built up some fairly uncommon expertise in this area. If you have a problem with a hub gear that you need fixing, call us.
