The Gazelle Hybrid or Leisure range covers 3 models, combining different configurations of equipment fit to offer eight distinct bikes. The common feature of each bike is derailleur gearing, which lends lighter weight, climbing capability and accessibility to more distant horizons. The Fuente models use the Chamonix style frame, with its sporty geometry for nimble handling, and V-brakes for sharp performance and light weight. The Medeo models use the Orange frame for a more relaxed handling bike and usually have hub brakes. The Ultimate models are more performance-oriented hybrids, using very light frames, forks and components to give impressive performance for riders looking for more sporting trips for fitness or more extended light touring. All, however, embrace the Dutch philosophies of practicality and utility, combining the usual integrated accessories and comfortable ride with low maintenance designs. One of our Fuente Pure bikes was tested by The Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) for the October - November 2010 issue of Cycle, earning a favourable review, notably for its refined equipment fit and comfortable ride.
The Ultimate Excellent is the lightest bike in the Gazelle range with high quality cycle parts to compliment the super-light aluminium frame and carbon forks. Light weight is achieved without compromising the depth of equipment fit, by careful and sensible component and accessory selection. The front fork is carbon, light and strong, the rear rack is minimal and light, but still rated for large loads. The steering headset is adjustable, but siginificantly lighter than the usual tool-free QR stem, the lighting is light and battery powered. The transmission is high level Shimano 27 speed. This is your bike if you like to combine training with commuting and throw in some sportif and day-trip rides. 13.9kg is an all-up weight usually associated with hybrids equipped to half of this specification.

Axa frame locks
All Gazelles have a frame lock fitted at the rear of the bike, which immobilises the rear wheel at the flick of a lever. This means that an opportunist thief will have to carry your pride and joy away. If you use it in conjunction with a good D-lock, you have great security.
The lock always comes with 2 keys - if you lose them or damage them, all is not lost. We have outlined all you need to know here.
