The Gazelle Hybrid or Leisure range covers 3 models, combining different configurations of equipment fit to offer eight distinct bikes. The common feature of each bike is derailleur gearing, which lends lighter weight, climbing capability and accessibility to more distant horizons. The Fuente models use the Chamonix style frame, with its sporty geometry for nimble handling, and V-brakes for sharp performance and light weight. The Medeo models use the Orange frame for a more relaxed handling bike and usually have hub brakes. The Ultimate models are more performance-oriented hybrids, using very light frames, forks and components to give impressive performance for riders looking for more sporting trips for fitness or more extended light touring. All, however, embrace the Dutch philosophies of practicality and utility, combining the usual integrated accessories and comfortable ride with low maintenance designs. One of our Fuente Pure bikes was tested by The Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) for the October - November 2010 issue of Cycle, earning a favourable review, notably for its refined equipment fit and comfortable ride.
The Medeo Plus is an all-purpose bike for the more laid-back rider. The frame geometry gives a reassuringly steady ride with all the mod cons of a fully equipped city bike. The derailleur gears allow you to tackle longer trips, daily commutes and hills, but the hub brakes and hub dynamo place it firmly in the practical day-to-day, low maintenance riding category. The suspension fork adds a significant level of comfort, at the expense of some weight. This should be your bike choice if you live in a hilly town and want a super-reliable, super-comfortable bike on which to rely for everything and still glide around in supreme comfort.

Axa frame locks
All Gazelles have a frame lock fitted at the rear of the bike, which immobilises the rear wheel at the flick of a lever. This means that an opportunist thief will have to carry your pride and joy away. If you use it in conjunction with a good D-lock, you have great security.
The lock always comes with 2 keys - if you lose them or damage them, all is not lost. We have outlined all you need to know here.
