The Gazelle Hybrid or Leisure range covers 3 models, combining different configurations of equipment fit to offer eight distinct bikes. The common feature of each bike is derailleur gearing, which lends lighter weight, climbing capability and accessibility to more distant horizons. The Fuente models use the Chamonix style frame, with its sporty geometry for nimble handling, and V-brakes for sharp performance and light weight. The Medeo models use the Orange frame for a more relaxed handling bike and usually have hub brakes. The Ultimate models are more performance-oriented hybrids, using very light frames, forks and components to give impressive performance for riders looking for more sporting trips for fitness or more extended light touring. All, however, embrace the Dutch philosophies of practicality and utility, combining the usual integrated accessories and comfortable ride with low maintenance designs. One of our Fuente Pure bikes was tested by The Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) for the October - November 2010 issue of Cycle, earning a favourable review, notably for its refined equipment fit and comfortable ride.
The Fuente Xtra is a trekking or light touring bike with a step up in comfort and equipment fit. The adjustable suspension fork offering 50mm of travel to iron out rough road surfaces and the lights seamlessly integrated into the mudguards and rear rack give you a level of luxury and refinement not usually associated with this type of bike. The QR shuttle stem with sliding child lock allows you to change the angle and height of the handlebar without tools. The Fuente Xtra is perfect for you if you plan day rides over reasonable distances and varied terrain with a couple of panniers and you value a luxurious and well-appointed ride. It is also perfect for mid-distance commuting and as a town bike if you live in a hilly area. Like all Fuentes, this is a top performer.

Axa frame locks
All Gazelles have a frame lock fitted at the rear of the bike, which immobilises the rear wheel at the flick of a lever. This means that an opportunist thief will have to carry your pride and joy away. If you use it in conjunction with a good D-lock, you have great security.
The lock always comes with 2 keys - if you lose them or damage them, all is not lost. We have outlined all you need to know here.
