The Gazelle Hybrid or Leisure range covers 3 models, combining different configurations of equipment fit to offer eight distinct bikes. The common feature of each bike is derailleur gearing, which lends lighter weight, climbing capability and accessibility to more distant horizons. The Fuente models use the Chamonix style frame, with its sporty geometry for nimble handling, and V-brakes for sharp performance and light weight. The Medeo models use the Orange frame for a more relaxed handling bike and usually have hub brakes. The Ultimate models are more performance-oriented hybrids, using very light frames, forks and components to give impressive performance for riders looking for more sporting trips for fitness or more extended light touring. All, however, embrace the Dutch philosophies of practicality and utility, combining the usual integrated accessories and comfortable ride with low maintenance designs. One of our Fuente Pure bikes was tested by The Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) for the October - November 2010 issue of Cycle, earning a favourable review, notably for its refined equipment fit and comfortable ride.
The Fuente Pure is a trekking or light touring bike, allowing you to tackle long day trips, light multi-day tours or daily commutes. The multi-position 'butterfly' handlebar allow you a selection of hand positions and postures while you ride and the QR shuttle stem allows you to change the angle and height of the handlebar without tools. The simple rigid steel fork helps keep the weight and the price down (although other models offer a suspension option) and has threaded bosses for fitting a front rack if you need it. The Fuente Pure is perfect for you if you plan rides over reasonable distances and varied terrain and if you want to carry some load. However, it is also perfect for mid- to long-distance commuting or even as a town bike if you live in a hilly area. Any bike costing over £600 is a significant investment, but when the list of integrated accessories is considered, the Fuente Pure becomes fantastic value for money. Definitely one of our most versatile and popular machines...

Axa frame locks
All Gazelles have a frame lock fitted at the rear of the bike, which immobilises the rear wheel at the flick of a lever. This means that an opportunist thief will have to carry your pride and joy away. If you use it in conjunction with a good D-lock, you have great security.
The lock always comes with 2 keys - if you lose them or damage them, all is not lost. We have outlined all you need to know here.
