The Ridgeback Folding range is made by Dahon, but because Ridgeback is a UK company their bikes are specified with the needs of the UK market in mind.

Three bikes are offered in this range, from £269.99 to £569.99. All are characterised by the classic Dahon 20" wheels, the hingeing handlebar post,  the main frame hinge and the magnetic latch for locking the folded halves. All of them are offered with mudguards, rack, kickstand and complimentary carry bag.

The three models slot into our extensive range of folding bikes by providing a reliable 6 speed at the entry level, a high quality 7 speed in the low-to-mid range and a great value 7 speed hub geared commuter.

We think you'll agree that the value for money offered by the Ridgeback folders is hard to equal

Ridgeback Envoy

£399.99

The Ridgeback Envoy is a folder built by Dahon, offering a reasonable weight saving on the entry level Rendezvous in the range, by virtue largely of its lighter cromoly steel frame, but also of its aluminium handlbar and stem and its aluminium wheel hubs. It is very similar to the Dahon Speed D7 in spec and is even marginally lighter - it's certainly cheaper, and you get a carry bag thrown in with it.

The Envoy gives you 7 speeds, again controlled by Shimano revoshifter, but with a Dahon Neos derailleur, which is a proven performer widely used in the Dahon range.

The Envoy is a bike you could use for commuting, short leisure rides or as part of your holiday plans and its relatively low weight makes it easier to handle in its folded state than its junior sibling.
