Ridgeback's Rapide range of bikes is the brand's highly successful staple range of versatile all-rounders. These bikes are good value but high quality British designed bikes either lightly equipped with rack and mudguards, or in naked, more sporty trim.

We like them for their smart understated styling; their general lack of suspension forks - which we feel to be unecessary for this type; and their more consistent use of high quality Shimano parts than you will find on other brands.

The Ridgeback Element is a classy, stealthy sports machine based around a lightweight double-butted aluminium frame, coupled with a stiff and light carbon fork. This super-light frame is complimented by Shimano best 24 speed groupset, Alivio, from silky smooth shifters to light and precise derailleurs. Narrower 32mm Continental Contact tyres reveal sporty intentions and afford smooth rolling assurance while retaining puncture protection. Road vibration is kept efficiently in check by the damping characteristics of the carbon fibre fork. This bike invites you to go just a little further and faster than you planned - and you wont mind one bit. 

Good for medium distance road rides, or more leisurely ones and, with the addition of mudguards and rack, light commuting.
