The Pista forms an important part of Condor's recent history. It's named after the Italian for track, but as Condor themselves admit, they really should have come up with a broader singlespeed name, for it's really a street bike. It was created to respond to the demands of London cycle couriers in the nineties when aluminium track bikes were their mount of choice. They were looking for something stronger and more durable, so the Pista can perhaps take some of the credit for the contemporary revival of the steel frame. It was for the Pista also, that Condor began making their own components, as the options for single speed kit at that time were very limited - either top end track stuff, or cheap and nasty. Condor's response was to create a series of classically styled, attractive and affordable mid range components, that bucked the then tedious propenderance of matt black. If you're looking for an equisitely styled steel fixed or single speed, then talk to us. You can have the frame, you can have the finishing kit too... A very high class bike.
